Conveniently, right next to a cop shop.

Wow, this move is pure moron. Hope there were no kids on that bus!

Yeeeee-ouch!
Or, as I more commonly lament in situations I see akin to this one, “so, didn’t really save any time now, did ya?”

I hope that was a Ryder truck and not a school bus.... fucking morons.

The way the driver was pausing, I was guessing they were looking to make sure no traffic was coming before running the red.
How the hell could they not see a massive yellow truck or school bus?
But then again... if they’re a crappy enough driver to run a red light, then it’s not surprising they’re gonna be also crappy to the point to not check to see if there was any traffic coming.

Did he get pushed into a police station? I swear the building says precinct on it.

Lol its crazy how not a single person came running out the Precinct after what I’m sure was a loud crash.

Yep, as evidenced by the NYPD cruiser parked out front.

Right in front of NYPD 66th Precinct. At least it’ll be easy to fill out the accident report.

Have you seen the south shore of Staten Island lately? They’ve been in NYC for a while now.

At least the cops don’t have too far to go!

They had already stopped at the junction on the red (while also some idiot stayed right in the centre of the junction) so why did they move off? I’ve seen many where they jump the light as its about to change (well, just changed) or they are driving at speed and just blow through the light but this was neither. What gives?

I’m guessing he was distracted by the guy blocking the intersection and just assumed that he was good to go once his path was clear. I’ve caught myself doing the same thing before. It’s easy to forget about the light if you’re tired. Or stupid.

But still check the coast is clear before moving off even if they thought it was a non lit junction.
